1. Service Overview
Microsuction ear wax removal is a clinical procedure that uses gentle suction to remove excess ear wax under direct visualization. While generally safe, it may not be suitable for all individuals.
2. Eligibility for Treatment
By booking an appointment, you confirm that you:
- Are aged 18 or over, or have a parent/guardian present
- Have provided accurate and complete medical history
- Do not have contraindications such as active infection, recent ear surgery, or certain medical conditions (unless cleared by a healthcare professional)
3. Medical Disclosure
You agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions, including but not limited to:
- Ear infections, pain, or discharge
- Perforated eardrum (past or present)
- Tinnitus, dizziness, or hearing loss
- Previous ear surgery
Failure to provide accurate information may result in cancellation of the procedure and/or increased risk.
4. Consent to Treatment
By booking your appointment, you give informed consent for microsuction treatment. The clinician will explain the procedure and answer any questions prior to commencing, and will has for a waiver to be signed before wax is removed
5. Risks and Complications
While rare, potential risks include:
- Temporary discomfort or dizziness
- Minor irritation or bleeding
- Incomplete wax removal
- Very rare risk of infection or damage to the ear canal/eardrum

6. Appointment Policy
- Please make sure you are in and if patient is unable to move or answer questions please make sure there is someone with them
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling
- Missed appointments (no one is in) or late cancellations may incur a fee
7. Payment Terms
- Call out payment will be taken over the phone before hand to confirm booking, then for wax removal payment will be taken by card at the appointment
- Fees are non-refundable once the procedure has been carried out, regardless of outcome
8. Aftercare Responsibility
You agree to follow any aftercare advice provided. If you experience unusual symptoms after treatment (e.g., persistent pain, discharge, or hearing loss), you should seek medical attention promptly.
9. Limitation of Liability
The practitioner will take all reasonable care; however, they are not liable for:
- Pre-existing conditions affecting outcomes
- Failure to disclose relevant medical information
- Unavoidable complications associated with the procedure
